Sihui Zheng from SYSU Xiang Chen's Research Group

Received the IEEE ICC 2021 Best Paper Award 

In June 2021, the International Communications Congress (ICC), sponsored by IEEE and originally scheduled to be held in Montreal, Canada, was held in the form of virtual conference on the Internet. The ICC is one of the largest and most influential landmark academic conferences in the world communication industry. The paper "Design and Analysis of Uplink and Downlink Communications for Federated Learning" won the Best Paper Award of the conference, which was written by Sihui Zheng, a postgraduate student from the I3C Laboratory of School of Electronics and Information Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, and his supervisor Xiang Chen, Associate Professor. The paper was co-authored by Professor Cong Shen of the University of Virginia.
